The Law and Understanding the Chain of Responsibility

The health and safety work regulations were released in 1974 and it was published to ensure that employees were safe at work. The legislation places a duty of care on the employer, better known in our industry as the production company or broadcaster. This legislation ensures that employees were safe at work.

Risk Assessment and Management

A risk assessment is a careful examination and assessment of what can cause injury, damage, or loss in the workplace. This means that all areas of the production including all activities, tasks, actions, equipment, the location must be carefully considered as part of the process. It should be undertaken by people who understand the production process and are able to identify hazards around all aspects of production.
